Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese origin, and her dad, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with long-standing roots in the American South. The couple divorced when Olivia was two years old, and she was a child of her mother and stepfather, a member of the United States Air Force. The family emigrated to Oklahoma and moved to different locations, however she spent most of her life in Tokyo. During this time she was a part of a number of local theater productions. Later, she became a model within the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia left the United States back to Los Angeles and pursued her dream of becoming an actor. After a few tiny roles on television programs with Hawaii lenses (such as Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna, and was offered Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan. She is the host of "The Daily Nut" as well as the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. She enjoys surfing, and has been practising since she saw the TV program Beyond the Break (2006). Additionally, she holds an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother remarried. This time she married the son of a US Air Force serviceman. Though the family relocating many times, she was predominantly born in Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather's military was stationed. Attended at the University of Oklahoma, where she studied journalism, and minored in Japanese as well as dramatic arts.
